Amazon detail-page guide

What Is Amazon A+ Content for Authors?

Amazon A+ Content gives eligible authors a structured area for images, text and comparison tables on a book's detail page. It can clarify a series, deepen the retail presentation or help readers compare titles. It is not a substitute for the cover, description or metadata.

What A+ Content is

KDP describes A+ Content as a way to add images, text and comparison tables to an Amazon detail page. The author selects from available module types, supplies compliant content and submits it for Amazon's review.

Because the standard description already carries the main sales narrative, A+ Content works best when it adds a different layer of understanding.

Useful jobs for A+ modules

  • Clarify series order and the distinct promise of each title.
  • Show a visual world, setting or character ensemble when the imagery is accurate.
  • Compare related books without forcing the reader to leave the page.
  • Reinforce tone and genre through consistent visual presentation.
  • Answer a recurring reader question that the description cannot address cleanly.

What to avoid

Do not repeat the cover and description across several decorative banners. Avoid tiny text baked into images, unsupported claims, time-sensitive statements that will quickly become inaccurate and comparisons that mislead readers.

Every module should have one reader-facing purpose. If removing a module changes nothing, it probably does not need to be there.

A practical planning process

  1. Review what the cover and description already communicate.
  2. Identify one or two information gaps.
  3. Choose module types that match those gaps.
  4. Draft concise copy before building artwork.
  5. Check the module sequence on mobile as well as desktop.
  6. Confirm that imagery, titles and series details remain accurate.

Account control and approval

The author can upload the content through their own KDP account; a service provider does not need the password. Amazon determines feature availability, review and final display. Approval and placement cannot be guaranteed.

Hatti's boundaryHatti can plan and prepare agreed assets, but the author retains account access and publishes the modules. Hatti is independent and is not affiliated with Amazon or KDP.

When to commission it

A+ Content is most useful after the core listing is coherent. If the cover promises one genre and the description another, fix that conflict first. When the retail foundation is sound, see Amazon A+ Content for Authors or include it in a Book Relaunch.
