Project scope

Paid work begins after the project scope, deliverables, price, timeline and revision allowance are confirmed. Work outside that scope may require a revised quote.

Author ownership and responsibility

The author retains ownership of their underlying manuscript and publishing rights. The author is responsible for having the legal right to submit all material and for the legality and accuracy of the underlying content.

Turnaround estimates

Published turnaround times are typical estimates, not automatic guarantees. Project timing begins once the agreed brief and required inputs are complete. Client feedback, additional revisions, complex illustration, or changed specifications may affect delivery timing. Any date specifically guaranteed for a project will be stated in the project quote.

Revisions

Unless a project states otherwise, cover projects include two structured revision rounds within the agreed creative direction. A materially different concept, changed title, changed genre positioning, new format or changed production specification may be treated as a scope change.

Technical correction

If a Hatti-supplied production file is rejected solely because of a technical production error within the agreed specification, Hatti will correct that technical error without an additional design fee. This does not cover platform rule changes, customer-modified files, changed manuscript/page count, rights issues or content-policy issues outside the agreed work.

No performance guarantee

Hatti does not guarantee sales, rankings, royalties, reviews, bestseller status or advertising performance.

Payment and cancellation

Payment terms and project-start conditions are confirmed in the project quote before work begins. Because Hatti services are customized, each quote states the applicable cancellation and refund terms before payment. Hatti does not add undisclosed cancellation fees after a project is accepted.

Deliverable rights and third-party assets

After full payment, the author receives the rights or licences to Hatti-created deliverables described in the project quote. Stock assets, fonts and other third-party design or production materials remain subject to their applicable licences.
